Drake Bailey is a State Alchemist of Amestris and a member of it's military. Drake is a renowned alchemist who joined the military 3 years after The Promised Day, being the age of 15 during the Promised Day, he had lost a lot during Father's conspiracies. However, managing to break through his despair, and refining his alchemy skills even further, he joined the military at the age of 18. Known currently by his moniker as the Alchemist of the Compass (磁石の錬金術師 Jishaku no Renkinjutsushi), due to his unique form of Alchemy, he works as a gatherer of information for the state military, being highly suited for the tasks given to him.
